A purpose-built shower designed for quick cleanup without lowering the standard.

Building the Standard Higher: A New Shower Experience Coming to Brickhouse Gym

At Brickhouse Gym, nothing we add is random. Every upgrade, every decision, every improvement is measured against one question first:

Does this raise the standard?

If it does not, it does not make it through the door.

That mindset is exactly why we are introducing a new shower on the athletic side of the gym. This is not about checking a box. It is not about copying what other gyms do. It is about removing friction, eliminating excuses, and reinforcing the identity of a place built for people who take their training and their lives seriously.

Brickhouse exists to support discipline. Discipline requires systems that work. When the environment supports the effort, consistency follows. That is the lens through which this upgrade was designed.

Why This Upgrade Matters

Brickhouse has always provided a functional, clean, and reliable shower. It has good water pressure, strong heat, and the space to do what it was intended to do. Clean up and get on with your day.

At the same time, we are realistic. As the membership has evolved, so have the demands placed on the environment. We have more professionals training early in the morning. More members training on lunch breaks. More people structuring their days around fitness instead of squeezing it in as an afterthought.

When people are serious about training, small points of friction matter. If someone feels they need to adjust their workout intensity because they are worried about cleanup afterward, that is a signal. Not a complaint. A signal.

Our job is not to lower the standard of effort. Our job is to raise the standard of support.

This new shower does exactly that.

Designed With Intent, Not Convenience

This shower is being installed inside one of the existing bathrooms on the athletic side of the gym. We chose that space deliberately. It is large, private, and fits the way Brickhouse members actually train and move through the facility.

The goal was not luxury for luxury’s sake. The goal was durability, cleanliness, efficiency, and ease of use.

The shower itself will be a one piece fiberglass unit. This design choice is intentional. Fiberglass is comfortable underfoot, easy to maintain, and highly resistant to wear. It allows us to uphold our non negotiable cleanliness standards without compromise.

The shower will feature a glass front door. This keeps water contained, prevents flooding or mess, and maintains a clean, professional look that aligns with the Brickhouse environment.

The interior space measures approximately three feet by three feet. That size allows enough room for anyone to move comfortably without feeling cramped, while still encouraging the purpose of the space. Quick, effective cleanup.

We are also upgrading the ventilation system for this bathroom. Strong airflow matters. Proper ventilation prevents excessive steam, manages humidity, and ensures the space stays fresh and usable throughout the day.

This is what we mean when we say excellence lives in the details.

Removing Excuses Without Lowering Expectations

Brickhouse culture has always been rooted in personal accountability. We do not build systems that enable avoidance. We build systems that remove excuses.

For some members, the absence of a more convenient shower setup meant modifying training times. For others, it meant holding back intensity because they knew they had to get back to work quickly. Those decisions are understandable. They are also unnecessary.

This upgrade eliminates that friction.

Train as hard as you want. Push the session. Leave it all on the floor. Then clean up and move forward with your day.

No compromises. No rationalizations.

This aligns directly with our core value of No Excuses. Not as a slogan, but as a lived standard.

Built Through Community, Not Rush Decisions

Another part of the Brickhouse identity is respect for relationships. We do not rush projects just to say something is done. We work with people we trust. We support local partners who share our values of quality and professionalism.

This project has been in the works for some time. The timing was intentional. Summer months are demanding for renovation teams, especially those supporting other major local projects. Rather than forcing a rushed timeline, we chose patience and alignment.

Now, with the seasons shifting, this indoor project fits perfectly. The result will be better execution, better craftsmanship, and a final product that reflects Brickhouse standards.

Brick by brick is not just a phrase. It is how we build everything.

Setting Clear Expectations Through Etiquette

Any shared resource only works if everyone respects it. A premium environment requires premium behavior. That applies just as much to the shower as it does to the training floor.

Because this shower is located inside an existing bathroom, we are setting clear expectations from day one.

This space is designed for quick cleanup. It is not intended for long, drawn out routines. It is not a replacement for your home bathroom. It is a tool that supports your training schedule.

We ask all members to be mindful of others who may be waiting. That includes time spent in the bathroom itself. Sitting in a stall scrolling endlessly on your phone while others wait is not respectful of the space or the community.

If you need to spend time on your phone, we have seating areas designed for that purpose. Bathrooms are for their intended use. Efficient, respectful, and functional.

The same principle applies to shower time. Keep it reasonable. Clean up, reset, and move on. This ensures the space remains available and enjoyable for everyone.

We also want to be clear that members are responsible for bringing their own towels and shower supplies. Brickhouse does not provide towels or toiletries. This keeps expectations simple and aligns with our existing standards across the facility.

These guidelines are not about restriction. They are about respect.

Respect for the space. Respect for the people. Respect for the culture.

Cleanliness Is Not Optional

One of the most common words people use to describe Brickhouse is clean. That is not accidental. It is enforced. Relentlessly.

This new shower will be held to the same standard as every other area of the gym. Easy to clean surfaces, strong ventilation, and clear etiquette all support that goal.

Cleanliness is not a perk here. It is a requirement. It reflects how seriously we take the environment and the people who train inside it.

Part of a Bigger Vision

This shower upgrade does not exist in isolation. It is one piece of a much larger vision.

Brickhouse is continuously evolving. Equipment upgrades. Layout refinements. Climate control improvements. Lighting changes. Each one reinforces the same promise.

We are building a training ground for people who demand more of themselves.

This upgrade supports professionals who train before work. Entrepreneurs who train between meetings. Parents who train on tight schedules. Anyone who refuses to let life become an excuse.

The environment must match the identity.

The Standard Continues to Rise

We do not chase trends. We do not add features for marketing bullet points. We build with intent.

This new shower is another example of Brickhouse doing what it has always done. Listening. Observing. Improving. Raising the bar.

If you train here, this upgrade is for you.

If you are considering Brickhouse, understand this clearly. We do not lower standards to attract more people. We raise standards to attract the right people.

Strength. Standards. Community.

Built brick by brick.
